The MEA HR Handbook consists of an online platform made up of 28 chapters on employment related topics. Its there to assist employers and HR managers to deal with HR issues on a day-to-day basis. Innovative in its format, the Handbook is a source of information that helps entrepreneurs to offer proper guidance and enhance their relationship between management and employees.
MEA strongly believes that economic and social progress depends on a healthy business environment. Establishing and enhancing social dialogue in Malta is an important aspect of the business environment, and a specialisation of the Association.
The project “MEA-EQUIP – Equipping SMES for a More Diverse, Equal and Inclusive Labour Market” is about helping employers through capacity building measures to research, learn and discuss how diversity, equality and inclusion makes business sense and is good for business, rather than being just a mere legal or social obligation. On Friday, 30th September 2016, the MEA held a well-attended seminar which focused on the SME TOOL: MEA’s Enterprise portal. This is a concept which MEA, through its SME Helpdesk, has been working for the past months and which will become a major project during 2017.
The Maltese Business Story is yet another unique project, created by the SME Helpdesk within the Malta Employers’ Association, which aims to assist mainly, start-ups, micros and SMEs.

Between 2019-2020, the Malta Employers’ Association (MEA) in collaboration with General Workers Union (GWU) have been part of an EU project entitled ‘Upper Level – Joint Social Commitment – as the key to Information and Consultation, Participation and their challenges’.
Although as a constituted body it doesn’t fall within our direct remit to stimulate and lead the commitment towards sustainable business environmental transitions, we are actually and tangibly doing it out of our firm belief in ESG principles and SDG goals. The Malta Employers’ Association is managing to do this through the MEAGreen Project.
