Between 2019-2020, the Malta Employers’ Association (MEA) in collaboration with General Workers Union (GWU) have been part of an EU project entitled ‘Upper Level – Joint Social Commitment – as the key to Information and Consultation, Participation and their challenges’.
Although as a constituted body it doesn’t fall within our direct remit to stimulate and lead the commitment towards sustainable business environmental transitions, we are actually and tangibly doing it out of our firm belief in ESG principles and SDG goals. The Malta Employers’ Association is managing to do this through the MEAGreen Project.
The name is an acronym and a play of words derived from “Proactiveness” and “Action”. The Initiative derived from the MEA’s recognition for the need for action to instigate a national concerted effort towards making Malta an attractive place for investment and starting a business by minimising as much as possible the bottlenecks to growth…
The MEA always emphasized the importance of investing in the skills of entrepreneurs and employees particularly in the area of innovation and transformation.
