TALENTSYNC

TalentSync

TalentSync is an Erasmus+ project coordinated by the Malta Employers’ Association in partnership with the National Skills Council (Malta), Community Enterprise Ireland – CEAI (Ireland), and Business Development Friesland (Netherlands).

The project aims to address skills mismatches, strengthen future skills forecasting, and foster cross-border collaboration among employers and other key stakeholders in Malta, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

Through targeted research and skills assessments, TalentSync examines current and emerging workforce needs in three strategic sectors: the aviation industry in Malta, the food innovation sector in Ireland, and the tourism industry in the Netherlands. These assessments help identify existing skills gaps, anticipate future labour market demands, and support better alignment between education, training, and industry needs.

As a result, the project delivers sector-specific reports that provide employers, workers, education and training providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders with valuable insights into current workforce shortages and future skills requirements. The project also develops a transferable methodology for conducting skills assessments that can be adapted across different sectors and countries.

To maximise the benefits of international cooperation, TalentSync promotes knowledge exchange through three international study visits and a series of online workshops. These activities enable businesses and partner organisations to share best practices, strengthen their capacity, and contribute to more resilient and future-ready labour markets across Europe.

Project objectives:

  1. Undertake an assessment of current skills gaps on three industries, in three countries.
  2. Undertake an analysis of three industries and in three countries identifying emerging trends and future skills requirements.
  3. Refine the Methodology for Skills Assessment, ensuring its transferability internationally.
  4. Organise three international study visits and three online workshops to facilitate transnational collaboration amongst employers.
  5. Promote the refined methodology and the individual skills assessments amongst relevant stakeholders.
