MEA Engages in Discussions on Traffic Mitigation Measures with Transport Minister

Together with its kindred organisations, Malta Employers put forward its views on a series of measures aimed at mitigating road-traffic challenges in Malta during a constructive discussion held at MCESD with the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, Hon Chris Bonett.

During this meeting held on 7th March, the Director General welcomed a number of proposals particularly those proposing a shift from road to waterborne traffic and others which are aimed at better balancing traffic between peak and off-peak hours. Kevin J Borg recommended some fine-tuning to certain proposals which in his view could compromise people’s employability particularly youths with a direct impact on their employers. He also praised potential improvements to schemes offered to companies for collective transportation of their employees.
