What is the EU Funding Helpdesk?

The EU Funding Helpdesk functions as a comprehensive one-stop-shop for information, guidance, and support in relation to funding. Its primary role is to simplify access to the often complex landscape of EU and national funding opportunities by providing clear, reliable, and up-to-date information.

The scope of the Helpdesk is to assist members in gaining access to funding opportunities available to them, by supporting them in identifying relevant schemes, understanding eligibility criteria, and navigating the application process.

By serving as a trusted reference point, the Helpdesk not only increases awareness of available opportunities but also empowers members to successfully access and benefit from the funding instruments designed to support their growth and development.

Mission:

The EU Funding Helpdesk at Malta Employers shall strive to support businesses in their pursuit of local and EU funding opportunities, encouraging uptake and challenging barriers. The Helpdesk shall seek to empower members through information provision, capacity building and direct assistance.

Objectives:

  • To raise awareness of local and EU funding opportunities by delivering clear, accurate, and relevant information to businesses.
  • To provide tailored training and practical guidance that empowers enterprises to effectively apply for and manage local and EU funding opportunities.
  • To navigate local and EU funding opportunities, identifying suitable funding opportunities for specific business initiatives.

Three Pillars of Support:

1. Information Sessions: The EU Funding Helpdesk organises and hosts periodical Online Webinars to familiarise members with local and EU funding opportunities. These Webinars serve to raise member’s awareness, knowledge and understanding of funding opportunities and programmes, managing authorities, as well as requirements and procedures to apply.

2. Training Sessions: The EU Funding Helpdesk organises periodical Training Sessions to build members’ understanding in relation to local and EU funding. The Training Sessions serve to strengthen member’s capacity, familiarity and experience of the diverse project stages involved, as well as other general but essential knowledge in relation to local and EU funding opportunities. These sessions are conducted in person and are designed to foster collaborative learning.

3. One-to-one Meetings: The EU Funding Helpdesk provides 1-to-1 support to assist members with their funding-related queries. Our experts guide members through the funding landscape, identifying the appropriate local and EU funding opportunities to finance their different business initiatives and investments.
