Projects Executive (EU Funding)

Position:

– Full-time
– 6-month probation period
– Definite contract till July 2029 (renewable on mutual agreement)

Job Summary

The Projects Executive supports Malta Employers’ initiatives in EU funding and project implementation. The candidate will be assisting in the management and delivery of national and transnational EU-funded projects and is responsible for coordinating the EU Funding Helpdesk, providing guidance and support to member companies on funding opportunities. The position requires strong organisational, communication, and project management skills, as well as a good understanding of EU funding programmes and project administration.

Main Responsibilities

Malta Employers’ National and Transnational EU Projects

  • Support the successful implementation and administration of EU-funded projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of tenders and EU-funding applications.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination with project partners, suppliers, and funding authorities.
  • Monitor project activities, partner commitments, reporting obligations, and project timelines.
  • Support project dissemination, communication, and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of project activities, meetings, events, and international mobility arrangements.
  • Contribute to the development of project documentation, research activities, and project outputs.

EU Funding Helpdesk

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operation and administration of the EU Funding Helpdesk.
  • Support member companies in identifying and accessing relevant EU and national funding opportunities.
  • Promote awareness and engagement with the EU Funding Helpdesk and its services.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant stakeholders and third-party entities.
  • Coordinate the organisation and delivery of high-quality information and training sessions to members.

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Public Administration, International Relations and European Studies).
  • Previous experience in both scoping and implementing EU-funded projects.
  • Familiarity with specific EU funding programs relevant to the organization’s focus areas.
  • Proven experience in project management and EU grant application processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of EU funding programs and regulations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
