Bi-lateral Agreement between Malta Employers and CCIF Signed

1 October 2025

Last week, the Malta Employers Association signed a Bi-lateral Agreement with the Cross Cultural International Foundation (CCIF) which centres around a new EU-Funded project called Unlock Project which was entered jointly between the Association and CCIF with the aim of empowering employers to tap into the funding opportunities available to them.

CCIF is a leading Maltese NGO involved in anti-human trafficking activities. Its community includes third-country nationals who are also self-employed, business-owners, or employers — all of whom encounter the same challenges as others when seeking access to funding opportunities.

Through this Agreement, Malta Employers and CCIF have committed to closer collaboration on policy development and joint projects. More importantly, this Agreement grants CCIF’s community direct access to the EU Helpdesk at Malta Employers, ensuring equal participation in its events and support in navigating funding opportunities.

This milestone represents the latest achievement under the Unlock Project. Beyond the immediate benefits, this Agreement also reflects the Association’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment:

• Promoting inclusive workplaces by extending support to vulnerable groups and ensuring that employers from diverse backgrounds can thrive.
• Encouraging responsible governance through partnerships that raise standards of fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the labour market.
• Fostering better workplaces by building bridges between communities, employers, and institutions, creating a culture of opportunity and shared growth.

Ultimately, this collaboration further demonstrates the Association’s dedication not only to its members but also to society at large, championing ethical practices, responsible leadership, and equal access to opportunities.
